Young Republican National Federation Convention – Indianapolis, IN – July 8-12
The NH Young Republicans sent eight delegates and one alternate to the Young Republican National Convention this past weekend in Indianapolis, Indiana. There, these nine 18-40 year olds participated in the election of new national officers, networked with fellow YR’s from over 40 states and hashed out plans for the YR’s role in a Republican resurgence in the 2009 and 2010 elections.

It didn’t take long for the NH Delegation to get noticed. Within hours of arriving in Indy, the NHYR’s teamed up with the Maine Young Republicans to take home the award for Best Overall Booth at YR Fest, a Convention event that allows delegates to showcase their states.

At the official elections of the Young Republican National Federation, BJ Perry of Manchester was unanimously elected YRNF New England Regional Director, giving the First in the Nation Primary State another vote on the YRNF national committee. And with the appointment of Chairman Marsh as the new national Campaign Committee Chairman and NHYR National Committeeman, Bob Burns to the Awards Committee, the NHYR’s carved out a commanding presence at the national level.
